Jerry Dowling offers a “no collect, no fee” commission based service to its clients, therefore there is no downside and it gives you the added assurance that we will work hard on your behalf. You simply pay a commission based on the amount of the debt and you may be able to charge our fees to your debtor if your terms and conditions provide for this.
In the event a debtor does not pay, Jerry Dowling will recommend other options to you, including field calls if appropriate. Field calls are carried out by our licensed agents, adding another dimension to the collection process. A quote for a field call can be provided on request; field call costs are dependant on the location of the debtor.
Once a debt is lodged with us, Jerry Dowling handle everything including:
- Contacting your debtors by letters and phone calls
- Collecting payment or organising a payment arrangement
- Monitoring payment arrangements and following up default payments
Our process starts with sending a “Letter of Demand” on our letterhead - requesting payment. The letters we send explain the consequences of non payment, which can include field calls and or legal action. We offer a variety of payment options for your debtor to pay the account. A payment arrangement is offered to your debtors who are experiencing financial difficulty. Jerry Dowling reviews arrangements regularly to ensure compliance of payment arrangements.
The length of time you leave a debt unpaid should be decided as part of your account procedures. Any debt that is in excess of 90 days is a warning that the invoice may not be paid. Remember the earlier you refer the debt to Jerry Dowling the more current the information and accessibility of the debtor. This gives you the greatest chance of recovery.
